Burn Permits & Public Services
As an emergency response agency, we work closely with the community by providing information, permits, and firewise education. At Greer Fire District, fire safety is something we take very seriously. Our services provide us with an opportunity to learn more about the residents and visitors to our Village and how to best be of service to those in our community.
Burn Permits
Greer Fire District now requires a BURN PERMIT for any burning within the Greer area. Burn Permits can be picked at Greer Fire Station #2 located at 38974 Highway 373.
While permits are issued at no cost, we gladly accept donations to help fund our community fire programs.
When having a campfire, make sure the area around it is cleared, have water available, keep your phone handy, get a BURN PERMIT, and call the the Fire Department prior to burning.
When done with your fire DROWN. STIR. FEEL. Make sure your fire is COLD & OUT.
